Job Purpose : The Director IT is responsible for defining and executing IT operational infrastructure management processes in order to deliver organization-wide IT services reliably, efficiently and effectively. Furthermore, the Director is also in charge of the IT support team, ensuring all expectations from internal and external clients are met or exceeded on a timely basis. Responsibilities : Tasks, duties: Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance; Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.); Support the execution of the technology roadmap; balance the desired architectural and project delivery commitments against operational requirements; Document and improve standard operating procedures to reduce risk, improve availability and efficiency; Responsible for the implementation, maintenance, administration and day to day operations of organization-wide IT infrastructure including Servers, Network Equipment, Telephony and VoIP, Databases and Database Servers, Backup and Restore, Software/Firmware patches and updates, ensuring the delivery of highest quality of service while maintaining a secure and up to date computing environment; Work closely with other business units and stakeholders to address all business and customer needs and to meet or exceed expectations as well as end-user requirements; Participate in and/or lead the project planning and scheduling of new technology initiatives and the implementation of such initiatives in production; Accurately scope multiple concurrent project requirements and manage delivery timelines; Ensure IT Infrastructure services required by the organization are optimized, available, and maintained and can be recovered within required business timelines; Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data, content, and services, in compliance with policy and supporting processes; Stay up-to-date with new technologies and trends; Manage IT budget; Clearly understand business and technology dependencies and work with cross-functional teams to assist in delivering products in a timely manner. Team development and engagement activities: Hold regular one-on-one feedback sessions with employees; Provide coaching and ensure individuals' performance and development needs are met; Create learning and growth opportunities that encourage each person to reach their full potential; Maximize the employee's efficiency by setting clear expectations and focusing on their strengths; Involve the team in the organization's continuous improvement; Demonstrate leadership and support to the team in change management; Encourage teamwork and collaboration on a daily basis; Mobilize the team towards common goals to make NanoXplore's culture thrive. Other tasks, as requested. Required qualifications : Training, degrees : Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field. Experience, knowledge : 5 to 10 years of experience providing IT support and managing a team; Experience with network administration, firewalls, VPN's remote implementation, troubleshooting, etc.; Proven experience in team management; Knowledge of Windows operating systems, Cisco router/switches, firewalls; Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Comprehension of voice over IP, ERP and web platform, CRM; Knowledge of SQL server database; Knowledge of systems integration using Web services or others API; Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, in both English and French. Specific qualifications : Skills, aptitudes : Excellent project management skills, ability to prioritize projects and meet deadlines; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Autonomous, sense of initiative and a high sense of organization; Aptitude for team work. Attitude : Ability to establish and maintain good relations with different partners at all levels within the organization; Able to prioritize, meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
